Is IIM Kozhikode worth joining?

1. The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode occupies around 112.5 acres of land and is situated in the Kunnamangalam Area of Calicut, Kerala. The campus, which is built on two hills, is one of the most picturesque and environmentally diverse in the nation. Every resident will have a positive experience because to its first-rate infrastructure, which includes air-conditioned classrooms, guest spaces, and Internet access. IIMK is renowned for its effectiveness in maintaining a green balance sheet and guaranteeing the satisfaction of all stakeholders. It has a committed administrative team of 93.

2. With a current batch strength of about 541 (PGP) & 64 (PGPBL) students, IIMK is the fastest-growing management school in the nation since its founding in 1997 with 42 students. The institution created India's first Interactive-Learning (I-L) Program for working executives and has since created the most demanding Executive Management Education Program in the nation, with over 738 hours of class time.

Can You apply in the second phase if rejected in the first phase of an admissions cycle ?

If a candidate is rejected in the first phase he/she can apply in the second phase. Technically none of the rules bar the candidate from applying.

The program requires that a candidate should have at least three years of work ex. What is the cut off date for calculation of this 3 year period?

 The cutoff date for the 3 year mark is the last date of the application cycle in which the candidate is applying. Suppose the Phase 1 deadline is on June 30th 2023 the the work ex till this date will be will be taken into  account.

Is family accommodation available for students for the PGP BL program?

​

The program is a one year residential program. So all the candidates have to live on campus. Family accommodation is not available at IIM K. The family can stay outside the campus but the candidate has to live inside the campus in shared accommodation.

Does the schools  only accepts GMAT score or it accepts other scores also?

The school accepts GMAT, GRE and CAT scores for the PGP BL program. However they should not be more than 3 years old.

What's new at IIM Kozhikode PGP BL:

1. January 2023: The students from the PGP-BL program had the opportunity to visit ULCCS Ltd, which is India's oldest worker cooperative and the second largest in the world. Established in 1925, ULCCS Ltd is situated in Kozhikode, Kerala.

2. In December 2022, the PGP-BL program organized a leadership talk featuring Mr. Monil Gala, Partner at PWC. The discussion revolved around the topic of digital transformations.

3. The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) community enthusiastically participated in the 8th International Yoga Day. Mr. Unni of M/s. Pathanjali Yoga Centre in Kozhikode delivered a Yoga demonstration to the Institute's students, staff, and faculty. The demonstration focused on Yogic Asanas, which are good for maintaining a healthy body and mind, as well as helping people cope with the stresses of modern life. In keeping with the theme for 2022, a large crowd participated in an interactive session with the Acharya called "Yoga for Humanity."

4. Mr. Abhilash Verma, Vice President of Product Management at Citrix, gave an interesting session on "The Leadership Triangle – Building next-generation leaders" in June 2022 at PGP-BL, Indian Institute of Management, Executive MBA from IIM Kozhikode.  Abhilash has a wealth of experience in delivering high-growth IT solutions with a focus on customer happiness, with nearly 20 years of experience in product development. Abhilash has worked with Citrix Systems for over 18 years and is responsible for providing Citrix Application and Security business as well as creating a highly resilient and secure application access experience across the Internet and Private Apps.

5. In June 2022, two business executives, SAURABH K. and Varsha Kamath, were elected to represent the Core Business Circle at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, for the PGP-Business Leadership '23. The mission of the Core Business Circle is to provide strategy and operational excellence to the core industrial products sector. With all organisations having identical production skills and access to technology innovation, the crucial differentiation is a well-integrated strategy formation and implementation. This student-led circle strives to instil critical business thinking and inclusivity in all of us, preparing us for tomorrow's industry.

6. Shivi Agrawal and Madhura Dalvi, two energetic students who have been elected to represent the Merchandising Circle for PGP-BL '23, will be welcomed to Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode in June 2022. The objective of Merchandise Circle is "Carrying life-long memories," with the goal of creating unique merchandise that incorporates memory, pride, and joy, and stays with individuals throughout their campus journey and beyond. The circle is in charge of custom garments, accessories, and other products, as well as their design and logistics.

7. Srinija Mangipudi and Karan Bhansali, two aspiring business leaders, were elected to the conscious business circle for PGP-Business Leadership '23 at the Indian Institute of Management in Kozhikode in June 2022. This student-led business circle will assist tomorrow's leaders in making decisions that will ensure the future of future generations. Planet, People, and Profit – their operating system, in that order, will ensure that every business decision we make considers the elements that sustain and benefit our operations. 

8. In June 2022, Contemporary Business Circle, led by Akhil Kavati and Mitesh Gupta, is introduced by PGP-Business Leadership, Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. This student-led business circle will provide information on cutting-edge enterprises that are fueled by new technologies to business enthusiasts. E-commerce, Ed-tech, Fin-tech, and sports analytics are just a few of the firms that have sprung up as a result of the internet's role as a significant driver of modernization. The contemporary business circle helps students comprehend the complexities of modern businesses and their growth drivers by educating them on current trends and techniques, allowing them to become effective 21st-century business leaders.

9. In May 2022, The Post Graduate Programme in Business Leadership (PGP-BL), a one-year MBA programme at the Executive MBA from IIM Kozhikode, welcomed its third batch to campus. In an event presided over by Prof Shubhasis Dey, Dean (Programs & International Relations), IIM Kozhikode, and attended by members of the faculty, staff, and students from the incoming cohort of PGPBL, the premier institute welcomed Mr. Vishal Sharma, Consulting Leader, Deloitte Consulting India Private Limited as the Chief Guest.​​
