For the flagship Post Graduate Program (PGP) commencing in 2024, the final application deadline is yet to be announced. Its comprehensive selection process may span 6 months.

 

The current cycle of the 1-year Post Graduate Program for Executives (PGPX) recently concluded Round 3 selections on December 29, 2023 including essays and interviews. Updates are awaited on further rounds if open positions remain.

 

The eMode Post Graduate Program (ePGP) finished its Round 2 application window on January 17, 2024. Shortlists and test schedules will be released shortly.

 

The dates for joining the Fellow Program in Management (FPM), e-Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (ePGD-ABA) and Post Graduate Program in Food and Agri-Business Management (PGP-FABM) have not yet been announced.

 

 IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2024

 

The recently concluded PGP recruitment drive for the batch of 2023 reflected robust hiring sentiments across recruiters. Students received a total of 280 job offers, including 8 global offers - the highest ever for the institute. BASF extended the only German offer to an IIMA student in over a decade.

 

In terms of compensation, the top domestic offer soared to INR 1.15 crores per annum - a massive 87% jump over last year’s top package.

 

Encouragingly, the average salary package also saw an increase of 5% to reach INR 34.36 lakhs per annum even amidst macroeconomic volatility.

 

The placement drive saw participation from 188 major recruiters including several debutants. Consulting majors like Emaar, A91 Partners and BCG competed intensely with strategy profiles from banks like HSBC, Standard Chartered and financial services bigwigs like Avendus Capital, JP Morgan.

 

The middle management focused PGPX program also posted stellar outcomes for the class of 2023. The top domestic salary touched INR 1.08 crores per annum with highest international offer from Alvarez & Marsal at $212,347. Average packages reached INR 35.68 lakhs domestically and over $123,949 for global roles.

 

The Summer Internship Placements 2025 concluded in quick time as well with 100% batch placed across 404 assignments. Consulting leader BCG topped recruiter rankings with 22 offers.

IIM Ahmedabad Cutoff 2023 

 

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 exam took place on November 26th for admission screening across IIMs.

​

  • IIMA specified qualifying CAT 2023 overall cut off percentiles of 80 (General category), 75 (NC-OBC), 70 (SC & Gen-PwD) and 60 (ST).

  • Sectional CAT cut offs were also set at 70th percentile across Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning.

  • For final selection, CAT scores have 65% weightage in IIMA’s criteria, complemented by performance in the Analytical Writing Test (35%) and Personal Interview (35%) rounds.

  • Merely meeting the CAT cut off percentile does not guarantee admission at IIM Ahmedabad given its highly competitive applicant pool.

  • Final admissions will be strictly as per Final Composite Scores (FCS) calculated basis a defined formula using candidates' sectional and overall test percentiles, academic scores, work experience multipliers etc.

  • Foreign applicants cannot take the CAT. They need to apply via the Supernumerary Quota only after taking the GMAT exam, providing English proficiency scores and a letter of recommendation.

What academic profile is needed?

​

Let's start with grades - nearly 90% of admits have scored over 90% in Class 10. Competitive test scores in the CAT are crucial too. IIMA has sky-high cut-offs to meet. Excellent performance in high school, undergraduate studies or work experience helps too for a well-rounded application.

 

What CAT score weightage does IIMA give?

What if I have an engineering degree?

​
